The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), with the approval of the Department of Expenditure (DoE), has issued orders allowing BSNL to calculate and pay pension contribution in respect of its combined service opted employees on the basis of actual pay drawn instead of the maximum of the pay scale. This significant decision, approved by Secretary (T), will take effect prospectively from 1st September 2025.
